The below heavy-duty, lined reins are manufactured by Weaver as: "Weaver Working Cowboy Split Reins"...I purchase the 8'x 5/8" variety. I then purchase a set of 2 pure brass bull snaps...
Quickly: one can purchase the reins on Amazon or from a tack vendor such as Stateline for approx. $29.00 per set. The bull snaps are in the range of $12.00 each...I don't purchase anything for a large dog other than bull snaps (yes, they're heavy...but everything else can/will fail). There are loads of really cool carabiners, clips & snaps...they all have the proclivity to break though! The last thing one wants is a break at the most pertinent moment, right? Back to the reins...I had purchased my first set for one of my Andalusians...they were WAY too heavy for such sensitive mouths & such curvy necks...but, I knew immediately that they would be grrrreat as dog leashes... Math: the ultimate dog leash x2...for approx. $60.00-ish Comments are closed.

I have a distinct interest in relaying footage of dogs doing what they have been doing for centuries....& in some cases, I also include dog show footage just as a matter of interest.
