We have Evermore on auto-ship...we love the ingredients of course, but also...we love that it is gently cooked...very rare (in every sense)...shown at right are sheep balls from Idahound. Our Collies thrive on Evermore, our Anatolians on Idahound.
You know me, I LOVE trying out new concepts on my dogs...& I figured, heck...if it is esteemed in Asian medicine & folklore, it will most certainly be esteemed by myself. I have yet to try this collagenous product, but I will...in the meantime...my dogs certainly adore elk & deer antlers! Whole. Split & now powdered...
Enjoy this! I certainly did! Perfect poop is the goal that all doggists subscribe to.
Right? Am I correct in stating that we're all delighted to gaze upon a firm, shining, darkish turd in the dog yard? For me, such majesty, by its mere existence shouts: "All is well with the world tonight, Julia!" Others divine from tea leaves. Loose doo indicates any number of things...from over-rich foodstuffs to protozoa...from anxiety to dis-ease... Currently our pack enjoys perfect poop...we believe its cuz we feed 4 different kibbles at one time (mostly Farmina)...& we feed raw meats in volume every day & night... However, carrots are always a thing here. The perfect vermifuge, dessert, snack, chewing device... we often juice for ourselves & make dog cookies from the pulp...we also make carrot juice ice-cubes for the dogs...& they go kabonkers over such "pupsicles"...not to mention, carrots are yummy... So are beets...& being high in magnesium, they're another stimulating addition to one's kennel protocol...that's why here, under the dominion of teutonic sensibility, we adore Olewo. We add carrots & beets from Olewo on a weekly basis...check it out! As for all species enjoying beets...red poops while initially surprising, are the norm when one commences to consume these yummy things. As a horse rideress, quality matters, this I know! Tack absolutely must be beautifully made & of the highest quality! A tack failure can (& usually IS) a disaster. I opted to purchase some new leads & harness for my dogs. As always, I support women-owned businesses whenever possible because I come from Venus, not Mars....& as such, we have to work 3x as hard to get half-way there. No exagg. Lets start with the Danish-owned "Hund"...inexpensive when one considers the high-quality Italian leather AND the properly rolled & stitched workmanship (yeah...the leather master IS dude...the designer is a chick)...rolled collars & harness matter when one is trying to preserve the long mane of a Collie...hence, my acquisition of lots of collars, 1 harness & several stunning leads! The stellar cream-coloured lead....as luxe as the day is long....with brass hardware & tobacco bullhide reinforcements are under $150.00...what a DEAL!!! On to the colourful, butter-soft braided leads below...lets look at Ding Dog a chick-owned Etsy biz. 2 leashes for $145.00 place these in the same basic price-range as the leashes of Hund. I feel that with a double layer at the bolt attachment...or perhaps even some bridle leather lining added there & at the handle, we would have a slightly durable leash...these are something I would consider a light-duty leash....nothing to take to the beach. Certainly not for "pullers"....they are cheery though & in these dark times...cheery has value. My vote however, is for Hund. ![]() Here's how churpi chews are made (what's churpi??? Hard Nepali cheese...) (we know it as "Himalayan chews" in the dog fancy)...we have tried loads of different brands...& really wanted to support our local NW tradesmen...but, no...there is only one... & it's still Kathmandu's. Hence, the Bob Seger...(AGAIN!)... We have these on auto-ship... We have Seger on auto as well... |

I have a distinct interest in relaying footage of dogs doing what they have been doing for centuries....& in some cases, I also include dog show footage just as a matter of interest.
