The ONLY ex-pen we recommend is this one (or 2)! We recommend them in multiples (one for your main living space & one for your bedroom & one at-the-ready for expansion/s etc.). $149.99! The panels are each removable & assembled with large, sturdy pins. Great for making ad-lib doors for off-limit aspects of your home. Affordable with free shipping on Amazon.

These double Sherpa-fleece pads are da bomb. 36"x54" are soooo poofy. Very durable! They're made from 2 giant slabs of ultra-thick polyester fleece & are manufactured by Puppy Culture right here in the beautiful USA...no retardants, chemicals...zilcho...just wool from a rare variety of Polyester Yaks who were imported from Slobobia in 1917 & who founded a dynastic line of wool-production unparalleled. Only $86.95! These are always sold-out ...the good news is: waiting list, baby!!!! Just email Puppy Culture & they will accomodate your polyester yakky dreamz.

We love our round, enormous, Ballistic Gorilla Bed. Purchasing an extra cover is savvy. That way, you can hose off & air-dry one, while you use the other. You'll drop $419.00 on this set-up...but, your dog will thank you! They are made in the good-old-USA. This matters to me.

EZ Whelp (Yes! The whelping box people) make a wholly splendid, durable, warm pad...we LOVE these things! We have several of the 72x72 size. They are great in-car, on beds, mattresses etc...they are absorbent & really grand. Perfect for the bitch in-whelp, dogs coming in from the rain, dog shows & nearly everything else...they launder like a dream...$46.95. They sure are ugly.

WE ONLY RECOMMEND 2 CONTAINMENT CRATES...ONE FOR IN-HOME USE (THE IMPACT CRATE) & ONE FOR TRAVEL (THE GUNNER).

Picture
This is the largest collapsible crate that Impact makes...note the casters/platform...shown from back...this is a photo in our dog-room/reading zone...
Impact dog crates are a great option for a large dog. We have the largest collapsible crate that they make (akin to a size 750) & 10 collapsible crates in the size akin to a #500 crate...& 1 additional custom Impact. At just over $2,200.00, our 750 has a wheeled platform option (add another $500.00)...(having this crate on a wheeled platform is superb for vacuuming needs & moving it here & there in-home)... if you're planning on travel...you will need either your stock trailer, or a reliable crate. This crate easily collapses & is totally portable. The #500 collapsibles are great...the Impact crate is the only crate I'm comfy with when leaving biggies confined when I have to depart the premises.
Never, ever leave a collar on your dog when he is crated...
Made in the USA, baby!

Purchase a dozen of these double-ended snaps from Amazon & use them to affix your stainless steel buckets to the ex-pen; use them to secure ex-pen doors; use them on gate latches as a back-up security, use them on leashes (as back-up) . They're also impressive to one's grandchildren when secured to one's lips & left to hang, however briefly. We prefer marine-grade stainless steel...it lasts...

The best crate, paws down, for traveling in a car with your Anatolian puppy (the crate being lashed down properly) is the Gunner Kennels crate (size large). See their video at right! The large crate is $800.00 & worth every penny. All other transport crates fail to protect pets! Don't use any crate other than the Gunner Crate!  Please know that your pup WILL outgrow Gunner's largest crate. From their website: "A kennel that says you're serious about your dog, and his safety. As the market’s only double-wall rotomolded dog crate, Gunner Kennels® patented design comes with a lifetime warranty and has been tested to withstand over 4,000 lb. of force, a 12-gauge shotgun at 7 steps, a 200+ foot cliff drop, and 630 lb. dropped from 8’4” – nothing else comes close."

Safir & Paloma...this Gunner is a large....

You can purchase this all aluminum cot-bed from Kuranda...(I adore their stuff) for $169.00...it will accommodate a beast of up to 250 lbs... it has a one-year warranty...& it will last forevahhh, I love mine so much that we have 3! Or perhaps just break down & admit your gentle giant will need a queen-sized mattress of her own.

Buy nice or by twice. As a goatherd, I can promise that a high-quality, stainless steel, seamless bucket WILL last a lifetime. This one (of 304SS), found on Amazon is just under $150.00. I have purchased tons of stainless buckets & pails over the years...some of the $30.00 flat-backs last just days with normal kennel use! But,the spendy USA-made dairy buckets last even after having been sat upon by a Brahma Bull (that's my litmus test). These are REQUIRED! You'll need 1 in your ex-pen, 1 in your wire-crate & at least 1 outside...plastic will toxify your best friend, starting with his nasal pigment & ending with his entire system in trauma...so, please only use stainless steel. Or lead-free crocks.

Picture
Made in the USA of high-quality, lead-free, cadmium free, mercury-free 18/8 USA-sourced stainless steel. Basis Pet deserves some serious props. 2 for 69.99. The dishes that I adore own an 18 cup capacity. Trust me, I've tried them all...some brands last weeks...some last days...I have a great love for excellence in manufactury though...& these rule. Here's a sing-along:
"Nothing would be finahhh than not buying crap from China, heed my warningggg!"

Picture
Has Romeo been scaling the fence? I LOVE the portable solar charger shown here! I have 3! Easy to set-up & with all metal housing. Made in the USA... & really powerful. They have shocked the hell out of me on far too many occasions of which I wish to confess! Elegantly keep your boy within the verdant pastures of your estate without the slightest effect on your electricity bill. Not very romantic, but very realistic. Don't wait until your Anatolian goes on a walkabout...

Picture
I have not actually purchased a Variocage YET...but, they do get excellent crash-test feedback...please, for the love of dog, DO NOT place your dog in a standard old crate & think she is safe on a travel adventure...she'll get smooshed...that's a fact...so...show the love & acquire one of these or a Gunner...I actually like the aeration potential of these much more than that of the Gunner...the Variokennels can be purchased from the Variokennel site or from Chewy...& from all sorts of high-end custom vehicle businesses. Surprisingly, they are in the 1,000.00 & up range...affordable! I love that.
